Just finished a two night stay as HHD. We were upgraded to deluxe rooms, one with balcony. We had booked two rooms and the brekkie benefits and welcome drinks were available for all four of us. The hotel has a distinct character with a lovely garden and a quirky layout and we liked it. It is a bit off from most attractions but a walk through the Botanical Garden is always refreshing in Christchurch. There is a shuttle on request but we didn’t use it. Breakfast spread is decent but a few steps behind Hilton which makes sense since it is a Doubletree property.
