Hi guys

Will be flying EK for the first time in a really long time. Booked Y DUR-MLE-CPT on a Y Flex ticket. Tried checking in tonight and noticed that the DUR-DXB flight won't let me select seats (I never tried to select any previously) as it says "restricted." Instead, we have been assigned 12A and 12B for the flight. No other flights on the booking have seats selected.

Is this a free upgrade in the making or is that wishful thinking? Why can I not change the seats that have somehow been assigned to me?

Probably jinxed it now!
