Just before I press the button on this one can I just double check that using the BA app to buy a fare to upgrade with avios means that we will still get avios and tier points on the base economy flight purchase and, more importantly that it will still be counted as a qualifying flight? Looking at LGW - JER return upgraded to CE as we have tier points for silver but only 2 qualifying flights so far. The app doesn't show me the fare class it's booking in so I've not been able to confirm. TIA
