Thanks - this is good. I'm going to credit to AS. For my family, the value of the increased AS miles is greater than the bump from AA Gold to Plat. For traveling internationally with my young family, PP lounges work just as good. Didn't mention earlier that my wife and toddler are on the same itinerary and will get ~62k redeemable miles for the itinerary each on AS. With some upcoming SQ and EK flights later this year, I think this is the way to go.
