Does $118.68 in taxes for a business class award ticket to Europe sound right?
I just ticketed two business class award tickets to Rome as a stop over then on to Athens. The agent put me on hold, then came back and first told me it was $138.69 in taxes, fees and whatever for each ticket. I said that sounded high to me so he put me on hold again and when he came back it was now $118.69. He said that taxes to Europe are high especially with the low value of the dollar against the Euro. Does this amount seem right?
