Tongue out of cheek: I suspect the difference in pace is only related to the lighter J load than typical. There isn't a time gap built into the service from the FA's perspective, as far as I'm aware.

That said, I have seen some reports that FA morale is at a relative low due to the impending cut in staffing for international routes, and I do wonder if they are taking it out on the passengers in some cases.
