I also want a fast meal service but I agree with the OP. The problem with the FA's these days is THEY want the meal service to be over with as fast as humanly possible so they can sit down for an extended period of time and do nothing. It honestly feels as if they punch off the clock after they give you the bottle of water. I recently went EWR-CDG-HND-EWR. The CDG-HND leg was ANA, the rest UA. The difference in service level on ANA was shocking. "We're here for your service throughout the flight and please let us know if you need anything."
