I have another trip to SAN coming up shortly departing TPA. I pretty much always check AA award saver and usually dont find any flights that fit my time table open. This time there seems to be a couple of openings at the saver level of 25k points.

I have about 250k AA miles and another 100k I have access to, have been saving them for J or F international travel when I have time.

The tickets for this segment range from the normal $500-$800+, should I use the 25k or just pay cash as usual?

I know it might not be the best use of the points but it doesnt seem to be horrible either, just dont want to waste them.
