The "provide the best fare to passenger" is what I assume you're basing your position on.

That said, point two is interesting. To my lay mind, this implies that if A isn't available but F is, then that would be fine. However, I don't think F fares were part of this sale.

I'll keep an eye out for A space opening up which I guess is very unlikely.
If A isn't available and F is, then per my reading of the rule, they would reprice at the lowest available historical fare matching the available class (which would be the lowest F fare on the day of ticketing).
