You can only book points reservations in France for manuals, and not all classes. For CDG, it's class C, D, or I only for points. You might get upgraded to an automatic, but I certainly wouldn't count on it, they tend to be relatively scarce, and typically larger/higher end cars.

I see points reservations as available for a random 9 day period in May CDG for C, D, and I vehicles.
