We'll spend the last three days in Paris but I'm not driving there. Question-- has anyone been able to use points at CDG? The website always shows no availability. I want to use them for 9 days. If so, have you been upgraded? Can you pay for an upgrade? I haven't driven a manual transmission although I grew in farm country so I'm sure I could still do it. I'd just rather drive an automatic if possible. Any past experience or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
You can only book points reservations in France for manuals, and not all classes. For CDG, it's class C, D, or I only for points. You
might get upgraded to an automatic, but I certainly wouldn't count on it, they tend to be relatively scarce, and typically larger/higher end cars.
I see points reservations as available for a random 9 day period in May CDG for C, D, and I vehicles.
