As entertaining as this employee’s actions were, they are defined as “horseplay” and set a potentially dangerous precedent in an environment that requires constant diligence and adherence to safety and clear communication between ground crew (ramp agents) and flight crew. Not to mention his fancy footwork increases the likelihood of tripping hazard and personal injury. If AA condones this specific display then they are opening the floodgates for further antics which have no place on the tarmac.

I admire the individuals “moves” and would love to see everyone approach their job with such enthusiasm; however, AA Safety Officers are very likely cringing at the Marketing Departments endorsement of behavior most certainly prohibited in the Employee Manual. Allowing this behavior exposes AA to liability.
They can have it both ways; laugh at it publicly, but behind the scenes discuss why this isn't a good idea.
It's not the end of the world.
