British Airways Complaint resolution

This is regarding my experience with the customer relations team of British Airways. I had helped reserve a ticket for a friend who was traveling from India to Slovakia via London. He was not allowed to get on to the flight because he did not have the transit visa. This after speaking to two customer executives weeks before the flight. They said that there won't be any issue and that Schengen Visa would be enough. But eventually, he was not allowed to board the flight. I complained to BA on 8th December and still haven't gotten any reply. Moreover, I did not get any customer reference number in my inbox though I got an incent query number with an email. When I used this number to check for a status update it does not recognize it. When I spoke to the customer executive they said they are not authorized to speak in this case and they gave me the customer relations number. The number never goes through the automatic machine. What shall I do? How much longer should I wait? It's already 2nd January.
