All my recent BR flights were eligible for online check-in and download of BP to Apple wallet. I believe that if the ticket is purchased using "Verified by Visa" or Mastercard SecureCode" there is no requirement of showing the credit card at first check-in. I wasn't asked for my Mastercard at check-in at VIE (I traveled VIE-TPE-Asia)
