The fastest quoted processing time is 1 week, which still involves dropping paperwork off at Victoria - in my case I got the passport back in the mail 72 hours later.
Also, worth being aware that a damaged passport replacement requires your photos to be countersigned, which can also add some complexity / hassle.
How very unhelpful - damage to a passport is exactly when you might need another one in a hurry, just like loss.
