Anybody can come out and say that is poor advice, but without even attempting to give a reason why, your statement is meaningless. Maybe your statement should be ignored.
I mean for Christ sake, the person in this example here freely admitted to screwing up and completing his spend before his December statement date ended. He mentioned that he assumed it would end sometime in mid-January. This screw-up is 100% on him. 99.99% of the time this happens it's because the person playing the game doesn't know the rules.
