Yeah, AMS-BKK is what was rebooked instead.

However, I'm confused in that if your original schedule had 26 hours in SIN, that would9 be a stopover rather than a connection and you would have been within your rights to insist on being rebooked into SIN, although whether that would have then given you a right to extend the SIN stopover so that you had 26+ hours before flying on to BKK is unclear to me. OTOH If SIN was just a connecting point (under 24 hours on international itineraries is the standard rule), then BA could have rebooked you on whatever routing to BKK and you did not have a right to demand transit via SIN.
Apologies, I got my numbers incorrect (new years day tired!). Would have landed at 1555, continuing to BKK the day after at 1400. Around 22hrs to see friends and grab dinner. Was under the critical 24hrs. Being stuck in AMS meant any LHR/SIN routing was dead in the water for us of course, hence the KL AMS-BKK. We arrived at final destination on time/early, so no compensation qualms, just the downgrade refund conundrum!
