Flight we took was supposed to take off at 17:00 (scheduled arrival local time in Geneva was supposed to be 19:35) but took off after 20:00 - that much we know. We just EZS8478 don't know if it landed over the three hour mark after 19:35. It might have landed about 22:25 which is maybe a nose under the 3 hr mark for compensation. Is it possible what you found is a different flight? - or am I not reading the time differences correctly? Apologies!
Right, this is probably all to do with time zones, which can be a nightmare! The flight code I looked up was U28478 (U2 is an airline code for EasyJet).
Gatwick in August would be on British Summer Time - one hour ahead of GMT/ UTC/ Zulu time that is used for a common reference across time zones. 17:00 BST is 16:00Z, so that looks ok. Geneva was (I think) one hour ahead of BST in August, two hours ahead of GMT. So the scheduled time of arrival was 17:35Z, 19:35 local time at Geneva. Actual landing time recorded was 22:48 local time at Geneva.
There can be differences around 'landing on the runway' and 'aircraft doors open at the gate' times, but I wouldn't think this is greatly different at Geneva (unlike, say, Heathrow).
To be sure, I've gone back to FR24 and taken a screen print, which shows local times - 17:00 planned departure (BST), 20:41 actual departure (BST), 19:35 scheduled arrival (Geneva time), 22:48 landing (Geneva time).
Hope that helps, and Happy New Year!
