Sorry to hop on this thread but looking for something nice within hilton/marriot/IHG or melia that's easily accessible by the metro and easy to get to around 6pm and back to the airport for 9am. Maybe close to somewhere I can have a walk around and get dinner etc.
If you are flying in/out of T1,T2, or T3, you are limited to the metro 8 line. T4 has both the metro 8 and the C1 train line. That is 2.55 euro I think. Link here with good overview .

It would seem that the metro requires transfers to get anywhere you might find interesting.
You could take the train into the Atocha station. There are a couple Marriott properties near there. An AC hotel, IIRC. Not been there.
