I am now spending hours on the phone with BA India team for the same issue. Two identical charges for the same booking reference but BA can not find the second charge. The timing of the second charge corresponds with a new ticket number due to an upgrade with avios. I provided the two Transaction ids from my CC and BA still can't find the transaction. I am working with my bank to dispute the charge (either first or second) and hopefully it will all work out. My CC gave a first review and said the charges looked legitimate due to the separate ticket numbers. This is all very concerning and seems to point to a less than trustworthy IT system at BA. How could the issuing of a new ticket after an Avios upgrade result in a new, identical charge to my CC? How can BA not see the charge even when providing the transaction ID?
