If this is covered by EC261 then you best look at the main EC261 thread in the Dashboard for the details on downgrade reimbursement and what to do about the GUF. However if it is under EC261 coverage and BA is the operating airline, depending on the timelines and causation you can pursue BA, not the TA, for the downgrade reimbursement.
Technical issue caused cancellation of short-haul (AMS-LHR), thus missed long-haul flight (LHR-SIN). Both BA metal and EC261 covered due to origin and carrier. Thanks for the info. I will follow it up and escalate as far as possible.
