You are correct that your boarding pass is your own business and not anybody else's. I'm with you 100 percent so far. But if you keep the boarding pass away from others' eyesight, which really isn't very difficult, you can avoid being confrontational with other passengers. Life is too short to contribute to uncomfortable situations. I try to make my travel as enjoyable as possible.
