Thankfully have been upgraded to a suite the other end of the hotel on 5th floor!
You should be fine, I got talking to another diamond in the lounge who also got upgraded to a suite on 5 th floor up by the lounge, he said it was huge!.
......... pool was very quiet and sauna too....pool here is huge and plenty of room to swim, I'm not using the gym at the minute as I have a nasty cough so spent a pleasant hour poolside.
BREAKFAST - it's always good here, almost great....... again very quiet, cold plates but buffet was very hot and tasty too, the granola ain't bad either.....coffee/tea self service but service was offered upon seating .......
cappachino nice but in my opinion needs an extra shot......didn't bother with lounge today.
Requested a late checkout @1pm this was granted but not required in the end by myself
PARKING- it's now fully ANPR , no ticket issued, just put your reg into tablets at front desk, in my case the concierge done this on my behalf....... there was an issue of the Barrier not moving when I left car park but a call to reception sorted this.
CONCLUSION- we all know this hotel blows hot and cold, my stay was actually quite good, service ( except dinner last night ) was exceptional but my gut feeling is this is because the hotel was extremely quiet, 329 rooms and only 40 people staying I was told.
Couple of niggles like no tea bags in my mothers room and strictly only one towel issued at pool reception but there always is here, nothing bad just a little annoying .
I genuinely like the place and will return!
ROOM NO- 4215 (myself ) 4213 ( my mother )
NEXT PLANNED STAY - Hilton Canary Wharf ( 12-1-19 )
