Thanks for the reply. Yes we use our points. I generate a lot of points via my Citibank Ultimate card and transfer these to various programs that i am a member of depending on where it is we want to fly to. I am aware of the expiry dates for the various programs and also of the ratio change for transfers from Velocity to SQ soon to take place.
My main query was, is there a huge advantage to having 740K SQ KrisFlyer points to the 1 million Velocity which i currently hold. My gut feeling was to do the transfer mainly based on the fact that SQ have such a great name and also their Business class product is good. I have never flown internationally on Virgin so not sure if having the points for travel from Europe to Oz in business with Virgin is on par with having the lesser amount and using with SQ.
