If so maybe have your AA platinum card saved on your Apple wallet and try explaining at check in. I am not sure how “by the book” CX agents are or if they would recognize what is showing up on AA’s system.
my guess is that as soon as the CX flight posts to your AA account your OW status will be updated accordingly. The issue you’re gonna run into based on the prior post is that it may take awhile for the CX flight to post.
