It's possible he made an assumption that being in Zone 2 it really didn't matter what order you boarded. (It's also possible he was just a jerk.) To answer your original question, I probably wouldn't be irked by this one. Don't get me wrong: if it had been a queue where the line-jumper caused a tangible delay (like to talk to a counter agent about something), I'd be a bit more peeved. But if it's just a race to be the first to put a bag in the bin over Row 8, meh...not a race I have to win.
