Anecdotal experience: Flew UA a month ago (2 stops / 3 legs) on a last minute but cheap award ticket to fly back home (DTW) for Turkey Day. Flights were not any more turbulent compared to DL but the UA experience sure lives up to its reputation for sucking (tight seats, delayed flights, bad service).
