Arrived 3-30pm, it was almost as if they were queuing up to serve me, even when I opened the door the concierge noticed my mother is mildly disabled and insisted I parked in the parking lot near the front door, then a crew of three guys appeared to take our luggage and escort us to reception......here, I'm diverted to the concierge desk where I'm checked in avoiding the main reception ( not that it was busy ).
I was preupgraded to two executive rooms at 10am this morning, I done OLCI at the motorway services on route.
Concierges ( yes two of them ) brought the luggage up to room, my mother and I went to Executive lounge for afternoon tea , when we returned 20 minutes no later my shirts was hanging up in the wardrobe and case on bed, not had that happen since the Waldorf!.
We normally go to Hilton Canary Wharf at Xmas but due to the bad behaviour and unruly children in the lounge we decided to come here as I happened to know the hotel is quiet ( only 40 people staying ) and the lounge has a " no children policy " after 6pm.
ROOM - two executive rooms on 4th floor, they are nice, definitely new carpets, clean and overlooks lake ......bathroom not huge but fine, separate shower and bath, ...robes and slippers.
My mother is next door and it's identical.
Afternoon tea - didn't indulge just had a cup of tea but no sandwiches, just stollen and mince pies.
Went for sauna , pool busy , sauna not...didn't use gym.
Now in lounge .......now remember I moved my stay here from Canary Wharf this year as stated earlier?...... we got here at 6-05pm. Full of families, kids everywhere....they were then telling people with children to leave the lounge ....there was many arguments!....it became very unpleasant whilst I was at the buffet, it's now very quiet with a few people present.

WINE - red white and fizzy ( fizzy way too sweet for me )
