iirc PMNW made substantial investments in meteorology models and analysis tools in their Flight Planning and Dispatch departments, and got a lot of PR mileage out of their implementation ... I have no idea how much if any of these resources — including the people who applied them on a daily basis — survived the merger, and of course the underlying technology has matured considerably over the past 10-12 years
