HERE COMES THE SUMMER

New routes to Cuba and Uzbekistan and more services on key European, African
and Latin American routes are among highlights of British Airways’ new summer
timetable starting on March 28.

The new weekly flight to Havana, Cuba, launches in April to cater for Cuba’s growth
as a Caribbean tourist destination. The service is expected to mirror the success of
flights to Cancun, Mexico, which after just 12 months of operation are moving to a
twice weekly programme. Frequencies are also being increased to Buenos Aires,
Santiago, and Mexico City in South America.

From May 1, flights to Baku, Azerbaijan, will continue on to Tashkent, the capital of
oil-rich Uzbekistan.

In Africa and the Middle East, flights to Accra, Ghana, will be increased to five a
week and there will be an extra non-stop service to Tehran. The popular Cape Town
service, increased from five to six a week last October, continues throughout the
summer.

In Europe, a new daily 737 service from Birmingham to Madrid starts in May to
cater for the increase in city-break customers. Services from Heathrow to
Copenhagen and Oslo rise to five a day improving the schedule choice and
connection facilities for customers to the longhaul network at Heathrow.

Other changes include a boost to services from Heathrow to Bologna and from
Gatwick to Marseille, Ljubljana, Vilnius, Sofia and Budapest. Flights to Perpignan
and Stavanger will be suspended from the end of March due to reduced demand.
