Told? There are scores of Platinum retention offers reported in this thread. Most are not as aggressive as yours, but offers are common (though not in consecutive years.)
Well, that's what the rep told me, yes... maybe I should have phrased it differently

I am not saying that there are no offers, I am just repeating what the rep said before looking for an actual offer.
