For clarification, I am assuming you mean the co-branded Platinum Delta Amex card. Yes, it's actually one of the only limitations you will get out of. With the both the Gold Platinum Delta Amex credit card you will still get:

• First checked bag free (for you and up to eight other passengers traveling with you on the same reservation)
• Priority boarding (Zone 1 if you aren't otherwise eligible for Sky Priority Boarding due to status)

If you have the Regular (not Delta co-branded) Platinum Amex card you will not get priority boarding (and wouldn't normally anyway).
