Do you mean premium economy? Far as I know, AS doesn't offer pure premium economy. AA's premium economy has the same food as coach, not supposed to use the J lavatory which is right there (though everyone uses it anyway rather than walking back), get a few drinks, and FAs still have the service the entire coach cabin. Seats are more comfortable, true; but, you still have to have seat mate.
Only value is that the fare class earns 100% for EQMs. If not for that, I'd never pay extra for it.
No, I'm not talking about premium economy. I'm not sure what they call it on AA. On AS they call it "premium class". They are economy seats, usually with about 4 extra inches of legroom, that you have to pay extra to select, or usually can select for free as an elite. They include free drinks and free snacks. It's not a different cabin from economy.
On AA I paid $113 to select that seat. On AS they are generally $99 or $119 for transcons.
