Well, they are not off to a good start. I emailed them today with some information and requests for the room. I received a prompt reply back saying that they had "already upgraded me to a Superior Room." How nice of them to proactively do this - except my booking was for a Superior Room. So, I sent them a copy of my booking confirmation and asked for confirmation that I would receive an upgrade to a higher category room (if available) and in reply I got "Sorry, I thought you had booked a Standard Room." No confirmation.
It appears my stay next month has the potential to be an interesting one and I will need to 'be on top of my game' ensuring benefits are provided. Though, based on reviews and the pictures above, I would rather take a refurbished Superior Room over a non-refurbished higher category room.
