One could have even less faith in Marriott though and say that if the IT systems keep malfunctioning and hotels keep refusing core programme benefits then having an Ambassador is even more useful than it was in the past. Or everything is fixed with the launch of the new programme branding sometime in Q2 and the Ambassadors are empowered again. I suspect having an Ambassador in 2019 is going to be very useful, one way or another.
And ... if Ambassador becomes what we all agree is a distinct status level in 2019, then at least some hotels will prioritize treatment of those at that level and make it more valuable than it is today. From the Bonvoy leak ... which seems to have gone quiet, there are hints that this will be the case.
