Welcome to FT.

If you're looking for a HNL-SYD leg non-stop, there are I believe just 3 options for that route - Qantas, Jetstar, and Hawaiian Airlines. You'll want to see what mileage programs you can use to redeem for flights on those airlines, and what, if any, stopovers are permitted on award redemptions (sometimes none, sometimes only on round-trip redemptions, or sometimes permitted even on one-ways).

In some cases it may be more advantageous to redeem for one-ways mainland-HNL and HNL-SYD separately (allowing sufficient buffer between the separately-booked flights).

Note that SPG no longer exists as a separate program and SPG points have been subsumed into the Marriott Rewards program, though with mostly the same transfer ratios to airline miles; Marriott also has a decent flight + hotel redemption package that in some cases may be a better option to obtain airline miles than the "plain" transfer option. FT has a Marriott forum you may want to visit to get up to date on the current program.
