As noted above, the Skyscanner fare could be a bulk fare, a consolidator fare, theoretically multiple tickets rather than a connection on a single ticket, or a discount specially negotiated by Skyscanner. I also wonder whether there is some oddity in taxes or fees which accounts for the AUD 62 difference.

Particularly departing Australia, is there any form of a credit card fee causing a difference?
