Question about threads for long term posters
Hi . . . I am new here this year so have next to no experience with the Accor board . . . so this is just a question . . . maybe a silly one . . . for the long time regular posters:
I have been scrolling back through the pages and have found a lot of threads that I hadn't noticed before. But maybe because I am lazy or because my eyes are not so good, I find it a bit difficult to keep scrolling while looking for a particular hotel thread that has been covered before, or a posting about a particular Hotel Welcome Amenity that I vaguely remember was posted a few months ago.
Given that there are so many pages of individual threads, and so many individual hotel threads, and that Accor has so many brands/hotels in different regions and so many countries, I was just wondering if it might be easier if regional (Asia/Europe/Everywhere Else threads) for generic experiences/hotels, or individual country threads or particular brand threads would make it easier to find relevant postings without taking a lot of time to scroll through not so relevant postings depending on individual travel destination preferences ?
For example. someone interested in taking a holiday in Europe may find it easier to scroll through a Welcome Amenity (Europe) thread and not read all the postings about Asia etc. People could still choose to read other region threads for comparative purposes if they so choose.
Likewise, someone looking to stay in some Banyan Trees may save time if there were a Banyan Tree only thread. The same for the other brands. I have not posted unusually good Ibis experiences because my guess is that few people here would be interested. But if there were an Ibis only thread then less need for hesitation.
I have noticed that there are already a lot of useful city/hotel and maybe country threads but that they are pushed back a lot of pages as new threads are created.
Well, I am not sure if these ideas make any sense. They are not entirely clear in my own mind. Maybe I should better learn to use the Search function to find relevant threads that have been pushed back a few pages. I will just post these thoughts now as we are almost at the start of a new year.
Apologies in advance if things are just right the way they are.
