Well, that was a nice ride. If you're going to San Francisco (be sure to wear some flowers in your hair) from anywhere near the Berkeley Marina, M-F at 730a 830a 400p or 500p or the reverse at 800a 900a 430p 530p, for $10, this is the way to go.

Purchase tickets online. SF dock is Pier 1 1/2, right behind La Mar. Small boat, goes right past the north side of Treasure Island. You can see the traffic not moving on the Bay Bridge as you're zipping across the water. I'm hoping this will expand to more runs through the day. (The reverse commute boats are currently running fairly empty.)
