I guess if one was keeping the card anyways, and doing that spend in the bonus categories, which improve next year, that is ok, considering that they haven't been overly generous with the offers in the last year plus.

But its certainly worse than their prior $50/mo that $1500 spend happened, up to 7x. (Which some people reported was never coded up totally right, so some accounts got the $50 even without doing the spend....)
