No, that's what he was sort of trying to tell you.
The system won't upgrade you from a window/aisle to a "premium" middle.
I've watched it NOT upgrade me many times, before I was MVPG and had to deal with it.
I wouldn't bother calling. The system doesn't upgrade thousands of passengers every day. And it, in my experience, is very good about NOT upgrading.
