I was thinking of staying at the GH but a friend told me the GH is pretty beat up and from what I recall the lounge was not that great.
So thinking of coming here instead for a one night stay using a cert. Is the lounge still as good as other posters raved about? And how is the condition of the rooms? Recently updated?

Eh. It’s far from the nicest domestic HR. Big convention property. Lounge is average. Decent walk to Union Station Metro (versus GH literally on top of Metro Center). I had a huge issue here with the phone to my room being called at 3:30am on multiple nights. Management couldn’t figure out who or why. I would stay here again but only if other options weren’t available.
