Mwanza might be the second most populated city in the country, but it far from second in terms of business or tourists visiting. That would be Arusha with Kilimanjaro airport, which is situated right between Arusha and Moshi.
Mwanza airport is tiny compared to Kilimanjaro International Airport. E.g. KLM has B777 flying into Kilimanjaro, others likely also. But Kilimanjaro is just a short hop from Dar es Salaam.
