Because staff in every hotel, anywhere in the world, are supposed to verify the name matches the room number. It doesn’t matter how the card is issued, because you could easily say the same thing for the paper wallet (that used to) show name and room number but now only shows the number which is never verbally confirmed by staff at CI.

Plus you can hide the room number in the app- indicating how showing that is never requested to be shown nor does it matter.

So the screenshot has no more fraud potential than the key wallet. If room 111 is not home to Donald Duck, then staff shouldn’t allow the charge to go ahead.
