As with all Digital Key hotels there’s no issue for extras because it will only issue the key when the pre-auth is approved, so if the card attached to the reservation doesn’t work, it won’t issue. You can’t do OLCI without a credit card-but that doesn’t perform an online check of its validity.
I was more thinking of how bar staff will confirm which room you are in from a digital key on your mobile phone.
What prevents somebody from walking into hotel and running up a large bill just by flashing a screenshot of last weeks digital room key, then signing any Bill as Donald Duck, before promptly leaving?
