And lastly: United's WiFi SUCKS. Bad. It never works. And it doesn't exist over the Pacific. How does PAL pull off consistent WiFi over the pacific and United can't do it on any routes they fly?

Meanwhile, Delta offers free messaging on all their flights.
I've come to the conclusion that United simply doesn't care about their wifi reliability. It's been a problem ever since its (late) implementation. The free messaging on DL is great. Facebook and iMessage without having to pay anything is a huge benefit for me. I mainly just use smartphone on planes anyway
