After moving from San Francisco to the east coast earlier this year, I switched most of my domestic flying to DL and could not be happier. United has the Polaris lounge and that's great and I agree about the *A lounges. But Polaris soft product in the air is mediocre.

I won't make 1K next year and I'll miss the GPUs but even that now is a pain since they rarely ever clear.
Domestically, Delta is tenfold better than United. Better lounges, better customer service, better domestic F/Y service. You'll be quite satisfied.
