Your view is that the glass is half empty.

You get bonus Avios for flying BA/AA/IB/JL, it is not that you get a reduction in Avios for flying other OW carriers.

For Y class, a rate of 1 x miles flown is very industry standard. It is also very industry standard to have a multiplier < 1 for the lowest of Y booking classes.
