I'm flying on 21 December SFO-PVG-BKK on a single PNR. UA into PVG, then a 3 hour connection to HO 1357 (Juneyao) to BKK. My reservation record in united.com now shows my seat assignment (aisle, thank you very much) with Juneyao.
In SFO, I'll be checking one bag that I believe will weigh around 28 kg.
Does anyone have any experience if the bag will actually check all the way through? Or do I have to walk it through immigration.
I'm *G, so I don't think I will have a baggage allowance issue if I do need to re-check, but I'm hoping I don't need to.
I also have a chinese visa, and APEC Biz Travel Card, so if I have to go through immigration and such I don't think it will be too big a problem. But I'm hoping that it is not that complicated.
I've spent a fair amount of time researching the experience of other folks in this situation, but i have not found anything very definitive.
thanks in advance.
