I think it is a good thing that people forget how to read paper map. Just thinking out loud.

Amen to reading maps. I'm older and do just fine reading a map, heck my pilot training was about using maps for a large portion of training, but this new generation couldn't find Starbucks a block away without a GPS.
That said, paper maps don't tell you about traffic, road closures, traffic, etc.
