I agree with the reassurances given by Steve M and 889 in regards to safety but if we are talking about Lugard Road, it is indeed very very quiet and dark at night, despite presence of occasional street lamps. The GF and I were there at around 11pm about two years ago and it was eerie how quiet it was and how few people there were. Maybe I'm more of a scaredy cat than others but thought I would mention it
